Coming soon, I'll have "New Things" Spring Edition 2026 candles available. I've spent time in March pouring about nine scent blends, some are returning from spring of 2025. Coastal Cottage, White Birch, and Fields of Lavender are standard favorites. Hula Girl and Wildflower are gaining popularity. Forager's Path is quickly gaining a following. Yuzu Blossom is my personal favorite. Orange & Herb Garden is a new release; I've tried several jars for myself and I love it! Some are newly available as I introduce scent blends I've poured for myself a few times and loved. A few are new scent blends I think will be a welcome addition, like Summit Spritz with fruity and effervescent scent. There are small numbers available in several other springlike scent blends so check the drop down menu for any others that appeal to you. The candle listings now include scent notes! And further down on the Salt & Light Studio Candle Co. page you'll find the description cards in a two row carousel.

Wax melts are returning though this time in a coconut wax blend which doesn't require me to manage combining the coconut soy wax (used for the candles) and beeswax. The scents offered in the wax melts may not match with what's offered in candles. I will decide which scents to carry in both along the way. Right now, it's dependent on how much of the different fragrance oils I have on hand. The wax melts are also small batch poured so probably likely to sell out quickly.

Full pint candles are now available but only as a special order. If you have tried a particular scent and it's now your favorite can't live without, message me and I'll pour for you the next time I am pouring half pint candles. The full pint candles (12.5 ounces) are $28 plus shipping. The average burn time is about 65 hours. And with a larger diameter and larger wick size, the full pint candle will fill a larger space with more scent.
In the watercolor painting space, I have been focused on 5" x 7" pieces and spring inspiration such as birds nest and birds. I've currently got a blue bird in progress and that one should be complete in the next several days. I am holding off with posting these pieces until I can photograph and scan each one. I'll release the whole batch of smaller watercolor artworks in April.

As far as private art commissions are concerned, I finished a piece in earlier in March. It was a 9" x 12" watercolor inspired by the Badlands of South Dakota. It was a more complicated piece but the challenge was very enjoyable!

I'll be taking another private art commission in June. As of now, I have May open for taking art commission projects. Message or email me to find out more details if that's something which interests you.

We are anticipating spring here in Montana though we see snow occasionally. We had a mild and dry winter so we are grateful for moisture. The nice thing is that the snow doesn't remain very long before it melts and soon everything will be green. I look forward to beautiful sunny June and spending time in the outdoors, whether it's my garden or adventuring up in the mountains.
