Drama and Peace at Once

A simpler landscape at first glance.  There is so much movement in the sky with the varying blues and the way the watercolor flows into the horizon.  While painting this piece, I felt an urge to keep going, adding more detail but I paused to think that over first.  The color palette is basic but it doesn't need more.  The flow of watercolor pigment with water creates changes in value perfect for this scene.  This piece packs a lot for the dimensions!
