Hand Painted Watercolor Wood Ornaments

Watercolor painted on wood?  Yes!  It is a bit more of a lengthy process but the result is amazingly beautiful.  The wood ornament is sealed and primed before my brushes can begin adding color.  Working in an area under 3" across, my smallest brushes do quite a bit of work.  When the art piece is finished, I apply a coat of cold wax to seal and protect the design.  Once buffed with a soft cloth, the ornament is completely finished.  A piece of jute twine is threaded through the top and it's ready to display on the Christmas tree.

Each one is an original, one-of-a-kind watercolor piece of artwork.  I sign the back of each one along with the year created.
